I was inspired by the new fall catalog to design my 31 fall business card today. Let me know what you think! This design template is currently being offered FREE to other consultants for the month of July. Your own contact info, monogram on the Albany bag and photo can be inserted for a $15 fee (and then the file will be emailed to you). Boxes of 250 cards are available for $60 shipped directly to you. I am also working on a postcard design, stay tuned!
P.S. I can also do a design w/o a photo if you don’t want to put yours on. I like it b/c it mimics the catalog!

It’s that time of year already… I have another nephew graduating and the honor of designing his graduation announcement and thank you note. His senior pictures were taken by the fabulous Jen Baltgalvis. Forget the boring ones you can get from the school, make your’s unique with a great photo!

Today was my friend Kelly’s wedding. She has my old job as Sr. Designer at Motor Trend Auto Shows (poor thing, I don’t know how she does it!!!!). She is SUPER creative and did lots of cool stuff for her wedding from favor trees (we planted ours at the cabin), postcard table numbers paired with antique mason jars she borrowed from a friend who used them at her wedding to the guitar guest book! Oh, and I forgot to say she MADE her flowers for her bouquet and her sisters out of clay. They looked awesome. The ceremony & reception was at the beautiful Peter Allen House. Kelly put her and Jason’s touch on everything for the day and it was beautiful, now if only I could get her to be my business partner!

My friend Colette and I headed over with our girls today to check out the first ever PA Women’s Show at the Farm Show Complex. I made 2 purchases a tupperware salad dressing shaker (which I’ve been wanting ever since I started making dressing from scratch when I was on the SoBe diet) and the other was my “barbie hair”.

I love having long hair but I can just not get it to grow long enough and all I ever do is get it trimmed. I’ve been wanting Jessica Simpson hair extensions for a long time so when I stumbled across a “hair booth” I was curious and they sat me down and gave me some long hair. What impressed me was how much it matched my current hair color (which I think is close to my natural color I’ve been trying to go back to after 13 years of highlighting/lowlighting). Anyway, Colette told me I did not look like Peg Bundy (ah looking back at this picture she took I have to disagree) so I got it. I’ve managed to figure out how to make it look more natural (and less jersey-girlish) on my head but haven’t ventured out in public with it just yet. While I was getting my hair the girls were belly dancing, they were too cute and had so much fun.

We found a cool booth called the Glitter Bar. Here is Colette getting her glitter on. You can buy online from the website but the actual store is in Harrisburg by the East Mall in Eye Biz European Eyeware. The owner who designs the glasses came up with the concept & recipe for the eye glitter!
We had a beautiful (hot) weekend at the cabin. Saturday we drove to a fish hatchery in NY to get some minnows, bass and grass eating carp for the pond. We had to get a permit for the carp and were allowed 2 for our pond. We hope they eat all the algae we have for them and can swim in a clear pond this summer. Lexie and I wadded in the muck this weekend. It was just too hot not to get in the water. She had fun looking at tad poles, finding worms in the bulbs we dug up and even kissed a toad that we found living under our porch. So now it’s back to reality. Here is what is on my plate for this week…..

Wow, what a CRAZY day today. Most of the time it is so quiet in here but today it was a revolving door of clients. Praise God my MIL didn’t play golf today and offered to watch lexie (my thursday babysitter just had a beautiful baby boy last week…. who I need to design announcements for). I think I am going to start posting weekly the status of my projects so that when days like this get crazy and things I planned to do today get postponed you’ll know where your order stands. Stay tuned, I will try to compile this list shortly.

What I wanted to show you was the canvas I got printed of my favorite family picture that Jen took around this time last year. I also wanted to let you know if you are an avid picture taker and ever get a great shot you want to last for the next 100 years I offer professional quality canvas printing that you would get if you went to any high-end photographer so you to can have your own first gallery wrap canvas!
So finally after all the parties, easter & taxes I finally made a thank you video for lexie’s “friends” party. Thought this would be faster than mailing thank you notes, which I still plan to do a pet peeve of mine is to not get them… better late than never!)
Okay, so I’m a little behind schedule but here is my easter card for this year! Maybe one of these days I’ll get around to the Vday card I always wanted to do! I just can not get good pictures of lexie (I wish I could take jen & her camera everywhere I go). These were my 2 favorite from this weekend. She dyed all those eggs herself around midnight easter eve (in true ME fashion, up late the night before getting stuff done at the last minute) the other one I just think is so cute. I can’t believe I captured that expression. I did get a few good shots in so maybe there is hope for me after all. Once I get my hands on a “real” camera that is. I’m having fun this year experimenting with making frames in photo shop. I was trying to figure out something that would not overpower the photo. I like what I came up with here!

Yesterday was my baby’s birthday, my baby is now 3 so I guess she is not much of a baby, perhaps I need one now. My friend Carrie, has a business where she rents (and sells) lawn signs for any occasion. I knew her fairy one would be perfect for Lexie’s Fairy & Pirate Party. I was so excited to see it arrive on our lawn. These signs are awesome quality you would not be disappointed if you got one. Click here to see all the choices she has.
Since I thought lexie had dance class yesterday… dumb me did look at the schedule she did not… I made cupcakes (& icing from scratch) for all the girls. I also made little “3″ and “L” stickers that I sandwiched on a toothpick and inserted into the icing to make them more festive and put them in these little clear to-go boxes, tied ribbons around them and put a sticker on them. Now they are in my freezer until next monday. Hopefully they make it back to class & me and lexie don’t eat them all before them. She loves icing as much as me!
